I know I've been a bit absent over the past couple of weeks. I took some time off and enjoyed a Southern Caribbean cruise with Joe and our 3 "kids". They're 18, 19 and 21 now.  We just got back last night. We had a lot of fun. The cruise was the gift but we did a secret santa on the ship. Everyone had to get a gift for the person they drew while on the cruise. Christmas morning was very silly. I was impressed at the quality and thoughtfulness of the gifts considering there's not that much to choose from. The signature color cards will not be restocked. They are on clearance and once sold are gone for good. Why? These are very expensive to produce, stock and ship. Although they are popular, they are not popular enough from a business perspective. However, in their place will be print-on-demand 8"x10" heavy stock prints that will have updated colors to align with the new color fans. You'll see these in the store, available to order, in January.

 

Yes, I said NEW Color Fans!

First, there is nothing "wrong" with the current fans. There's a couple color names that need to be updated but the colors are good. I'm emphasizing this because I don't want you to miss out on getting these at an extremely discounted price. The current fans are on clearance and once gone, they will not be restocked. 

 

The new color fans are in a different format and the color palettes are tightened up a bit. The colors are not dramatically different from before but I did remove some redundancies, made sure that there are not odd duplicates between similar color palettes and in some cases, added a few more colors. 

 

The biggest difference you will see is that the pages will ship shrink wrapped with a hole drilled near the bottom. You can slide your pages on to a D-Ring. You may have to get your own ring, but I will find a few to refer you to. Plus, at the moment, each page is one color. I'm excited about this format because it will allow you to customize your colors. You can remove the colors you don't like or wear. You can create smaller capsule color sets. You can take just a few colors with you shopping when looking for something specific. I, personally, only wear about 10 of my colors in a season. When you create for yourself a color palette for a season, your shopping becomes more efficient and focused and you create more outfits with less.  We'll be tackling a lot of these concepts in Colorful U, starting in January.

 

Due to delays in production and warehouse resources, we will likely not have the new color fans in stock, ready to ship, until end of January. Once the files are with the printer, I will release a pre-sale for you. 

 

One more thing, because I know this will be requested. The new color fans are a completely different SKU and price point. We will not be shipping new color fans in place of the old. You can not order a discounted fan now and receive the new fan later.
