[Your Color Style] 🍀 COLORPALOOZA, When is a color too soft and more 🌈
Published: Wed, 03/16/22
Hello colorful YOU!
I must have spring fever because I've decided to host a virtual event called COLORPALOOZA! This is a springtime event designed to add color to your wardrobe and to your life.
On April 1st (no not a joke), I am launching my new course Color Mastery. This is a 10-week program designed to teach you color theory through the lens of pigment and color analysis.
If you love learning about color. If you love my videos. If you've ever struggled with the question "Is that color in my color palette?" or "How can I make that color work with the colors in my closet?"
Then, you are going to love love love Color Mastery. This is the course that I've always wanted to teach. This is the foundational learning I wish everyone had, especially once you've learned your color type.
But you don't have to know your color type to get HUGE value from this course. In face, I will be that many of you will have aha moments about the colors you wear or don't wear or wish you could wear.
You're going to be able to apply what you learn to your outfits, your home and your makeup.
Back to COLORPALOOZA. This is a colorful event wrapped around this course. Color Mastery will go on through most of Spring and we are doing this class together. Yep. I will be hosting several live calls through out the 10 weeks. We will have
color challenges, share in the FB group and play with new color charts and concepts I have NEVER taught before. PLUS, exclusive makeup tutorials from our resident expert, Gail Scott.
If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We launch April 1st with a live color party and I can't wait!! Please join us.
When is a color too soft to wear? I get this question a lot. Especially from people who are soft in Your Color Style. Soft means that the person wears softer muted colors best. These can be described as greyed, dusty or earthy.
Even when you're soft, not all soft colors may flatter you. There is a tipping point. In this video, I dive a little deep into color theory to explain when a color may be too soft for you to wear.
The color of your eyes can be an important clue to your undertones. I always look closely at the colors in a person's eyes to help me understand if a person has warm undertones or cool undertones. There are definitely exceptions to the rules and I always look at the full picture of the person (hair, skin and eyes) but if you're trying to figure out if you are warm or cool, understanding if your eyes are warm or cool can
help.
There are some simple ways to add interest to your outfits using different ratios of color. 50/50 is a bit boring and predictable. I'm going to show you some fun and creative ways to change up your outfit just by changing the ratio of color.

Daffodil is a vivid orange yellow. It is a bright color and looks best on individuals that can wear bright colors. Warm individuals can wear this color best. If it is too warm for you wear it as a bottom or accessory.

LEARN What Colors Flatter You (aka Your Color Style Type)
I am a HUGE believer that the more you know about color, the more you know the colors that flatter you best. LEARNING is key to understanding what colors really work for you.
Once you know your color type, you'll want your complete color palette in your hand so that you can start to edit your wardrobe and shop with confidence.
