[Your Color Style] 😎 3 Ways to Wear Glacier Lake, New Shopping Guide, Color Challenges... 🌈
Published: Thu, 07/07/22
Happy Thursday!
I am writing this note to you on July 2 because as you read this, today, I am in Carmel-by-the-sea, CA. I am taking my first-ever ME vacation. A time to unplug. I plan on taking scenic nature walks, art journaling, wine tasting and just being present. No laptop. No business. Just me, my art and my imagination. I hope I'm having a good time! LOL
A lot of content was released at the top of the month. I share that with you below. Tomorrow, the second color challenge is posted on the blog, on Instagram and in the FB groups. We are exploring Harmonious Colors this month. There is a LOT of info and inspiration on the blog for you.
And now... please enjoy the rest of the newsletter below...
This month's color palette was inspired by this month's featured trending colors: Poinciana and Glacier Lake. You'll see both colors in the stores. This color palette will help you find creative and stylish ways to wear these two popular colors.
I placed the colors on the color wheel so that you can see which colors are cool or warm. Plus, which colors are bright or soft. The numbers on the color wheel will align with your color fan. If you know your color type, you can use the color wheel to identify which colors will flatter you. If you don't know your color type yet, take the free color analysis quiz.
This week's color challenge is to wear a combination of 2 or more colors shown here. These colors come from July's color palette of the month. Poinciana and Very Peri are trending colors for the Spring/Summer 2022 season. They look amazing together. Red Plum and Purple Taupe are created from mixing Poinciana and Very
Peri together. These 4 colors are harmonious, meaning they go together because the colors are created from each other.
Glacier Lake is a blue-grey. It can be worn best by people with cool undertones. Light individuals can wear this color best. This color is really more of a neutral and will pair well with a lot of colors.
I've pulled together 3 outfit ideas using the same Glacier Lake top to inspire you this week.
If you see a clothing item you like, download the FREE guide to these 3 outfit ideas. This guide includes the same three outfit ideas plus the links to each of the clothing items.
Harmonious color palettes are a collection of colors that all go together because they are created from each other. When you create harmonious color palettes, you can easily create capsule wardrobes in these colors. I explain how I create the color palettes of the month using the concept of harmonious color
palettes.
The video below will show you the first of two videos.
In the second video, I show you how to create your own mini color palette of harmonious colors using your color fan. This is a premium video for Color Obsessed Subscribers. If you would like to watch the second video, please become a Color Obsessed

Color Analysis Case Study - Brown Hair, Hazel Eyes
I did an online color analysis for one of my VIP Color Analysis customers. She has given me permission to share her case study with you. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.
"My eyes are hazel with gold and green, my natural hair is brown. I wear neutral color foundation and rose, plum and brown eye makeup. I have a lot of red in my skin and I do have sun damage. Just restarted Retin-A to help with skin.
I am 54 years old and am getting grays. I have been coloring brown to cover the little suckers but recently started getting highlights again hoping to get them to blend better with the grays."
LEARN What Colors Flatter You (aka Your Color Style Type)
I am a HUGE believer that the more you know about color, the more you know the colors that flatter you best. LEARNING is key to understanding what colors really work for you.
Once you know your color type, you'll want your complete color palette in your hand so that you can start to edit your wardrobe and shop with confidence.
