Happy Holidays!
Â
I hope you
are having an amazing week.
Â
This is the last newsletter for the year. I'm sure business marketing experts would tell me that's crazy town. I'm leaving money on the table! But, honestly, that doesn't inspire me. Closing my laptop and enjoying the holidays uninterrupted sounds amazing to
me. I'm going to spend hours in my creative art space, drawing weird things like the reindeer above. I have so many ideas for you for next year, but they're not going to all get implemented in the next few days. So, I'm giving myself permission to simply enjoy life and just be. No deadlines. No new projects. No stress. Well, at least no work stress. ;-)
Â
I'll be driving to my Mom's tomorrow to take her to a Holiday Spectacular show at a local dinner theater. She and my Dad would go each year, but now my Dad is no longer around. I'm hoping that my Mom and I can start a new tradition and new memories going forward.Â
Â
No matter what holiday you celebrate, from my heart, Happy Holidays. Thank you for being a subscriber. Â Thank you for supporting my business. Thank you for offering me your feedback. Thank you for caring enough to send me notes. I sometimes can't believe that I have such an amazing business. And I know that it would be nothing without you. GIANT HUGS from Virginia.
Â
And now... please enjoy the rest of the newsletter below...
It’s time for my PICKS and PASSES of the month for December! Remember, these are only my shopping suggestions.
By no means do you need to run and toss these items from your closet, but it is time to consider some other options if you want a more up-to-date look. Please take NO OFFENSE if you love any of the above. If you love a piece and feel great in it, WEAR IT.
I did an online color analysis for one of my VIP Color Analysis customers. She has given me permission to share her case
study with you. She has brown hair and blue eyes.
"As I age my hair is getting much darker and of course I am getting some gray. I always thought I had neutral leaning warm undertone, but a lot of warm colors just don’t look good on me. Same with some cool colors. My goal is to find my best colors and only
have them in my wardrobe. I tell myself I am letting my hair go natural. We will see if I actually follow through with that. In these pictures my hair is colored but my roots and grays can be seen."
Rose Violet and Amazon Green are a bright and cool-toned gals dream. Of the two, those with warmer tones will do better with Amazon. Rose
Violet is sort of a bright fuschia-raspberry pink, but is short of being neon. Amazon is a bright and clear true green that is pretty universal. Let's put together some outfits that use these two shades!
Each of these bold colors beg you to "go for it" head to toe. Choose a solid dress and then add a topper in the same shade, but a different
texture. This gives a rich and sumptuous look. Keep it going with matching shoes, and you are all in on the look!
