[Your Color Style] 🌈 Levels are here, Olive Skin, Belly Fat and more
Published: Thu, 04/27/23
Happy Thursday!
I hope you are having an amazing week. I'm
excited to announce that I have posted the new "Levels" guides in Style Masters.
Here's what members
are saying:
"I’m a level 1 in SCM. This explains a lot! I have yellow in my blue eyes, which never shows up in photos but it’s there. My skin has a pink/peach tone to it.
Brighter colours do work well, like lemon yellow. If I wear grey, I’ve always felt like I needed to add a brighter colour to make it work. Brown is a good neutral. Soft orange, check! Rose gold is great. So happy with this new info!"
"Jen Vax, the "New Levels" information
has both cleared up and confirmed so much for me!!! I love this concept of our best and most flattering colors within our palette. By using the Levels guide, we can have a personalized/customized palette right at our fingertips. Thank you!!!"
What are
Levels you ask?
Imagine that you love wine (like me!). As you learn about wine, you may prefer red over white. Let's say you love reds. But there's all kinds of red wine. You learn that you like dry bold reds. That would be the equivalent of your color type. But within dry bold reds there
are beautiful naunces. There are Malbecs, Bordeauxs or Petite Verdots. These are all dry bold red wines but they are more distinct based on region and grape. This distinction is your level within your color type. All the colors in your color fan should flatter you but a smaller portion will be absolutely your BEST colors.
Did that analogy work? I hope you get it!! ;-)
Your Color Journey
Step 1: Learn your color type (quiz, DIY, pro color analysis)
Step 2: Get your colors
(color fan)
Step 3: Get to know your colors (color guide)
Step 4: Customize your color fan to your BEST colors (LEVELS)
The Levels guides are now in the Style Masters Library. PLUS, I am hosting a live call for Style Master members May 10th to dive deep into this concept and answer allll the questions.
NOW, is the perfect time to join Style Masters. We have our monthly live call on May 3rd. Plus the live call for Levels on May 10th. This month we are learning how to create capsule colors, makeup and clothes for packing or for smart summer shopping.
Style Masters is the only place where you can access tutorials, guides and info on the YCS Color Type Levels.

Midlife has definitely changed how my body handles the extra weight. It goes to my stomach first, which I. Do. Not. Like. Nathalie Jill has this amazing guide on getting control of the bell fat and you get it for FREE! When you download your free guide, you'll also be registered for the Midlife Conversations Deep Dive online event. I am one of the speakers in Midlife Conversations Deep Dive. The topics addressed in this summit really hit home for me and I am so
honored to be part of the conversations. The level of expertise of these speakers is superior and I highly recommend you listen in. It's free to attend. Set up the audio and listen while you drive or work. Or grab some popcorn and a glass of wine and enjoy the 30 minute interviews. I speak on the 5th day (FYI). Download Your Free Guide
The color red can be neutral, an even balance of cool and warm, or it can lean cool or warm. Your color fan is a great tool to help you identify the right red for your undertones.
Gail & Jen: April Picks and Passes plus fun conversation
Each month, Gail
Scott, my fashion and beauty editor, shares her view on what trends to pay attention to and what trends to pass on. We thought it would be fun to get on camera and record a conversation about it. I hope you enjoy it. Please comment with questions for us!
As always, if you love something in the “passes”, wear it, I am just suggesting that we don’t buy
more at this time. And if some items in your closet need to go, consider these. Selections are based on current trends and represent my personal opinion :).
LEARN What Colors Flatter You (aka Your Color Style Type)
I am a HUGE believer that the more you know about color, the more you know the colors that flatter you best. LEARNING is key to understanding what colors really work for you.
Once you know your color type, you'll want your complete color palette in your hand so that you can start to edit your wardrobe and shop with confidence.
