[Your Color Style] NEW color fans coming and full transparency

Hey there.

One of our company's core values is "Transparency". Whatever is happening with our products and services... or even with me personally... I believe in letting you know the good and the not-so-good.

So, here we go....

I'm learning that I need to give you notice when there is a change or update to a product. I failed miserably on the addition of the neutral cards to the color analysis cards set. I was all excited about the improvement but after MANY unpleasant emails... I realized that I did not do this well.

I'm still learning how to improve the products and not piss people off. Apparently this is more challenging than I thought. I'm working on it. I really am. Just like I am improving products, I am also working on improving process and customer service.

So...

When I receive the new color wheels in stock... hopefully by March 1st... there will be new Soft & Warm and Bright & Warm color fans to align with the color wheels. These color fans have 2 new pages to match the colors I added to the color wheel. 
The price of the 4 color fans will increase by $5 to $72.

If you place an order for the color fans between now and March 1st, please make a note or let us know if you wish to wait for the new color fans or ship the current fans. Please know, there is nothing wrong with the current fans. When I designed the color wheel, I needed to add 2 colors to even out the design. So, I added 2 hues... which I then added to the next print run of the color fans.

If you've already ordered a Warm color fan and you would like the new one, our return and exchange policy allows for 30 days for you to mail your fan back to us and we will exchange it.

Please understand, I will not be mailing out supplemental pages for the current fans. These are assembled and shrink wrapped products that ship in one piece.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
The US postal service has updated their process which is delaying orders getting to their destination. The packages are now shipped to a distribution center, relabeled and then sent on their way to the destination. Once the package leaves the distribution center, there is no tracking. 

This is obviously, not ideal and I am working with DHL to see if I can get reasonable international shipping rates through them. 

So, if your order feels like it's taking forever... please know that we literally have zero control over this. None. We can't track your package down. We can reship your package but it will go through same process. 

We ARE looking into other options, but everything is a process and takes longer than I would like.

COLOR ANALYSIS ORDERS
As you know, a professional color analysis fee is $197 which covers my expertise and payment to my employees. I know that not everyone can afford this, which is why I introduced the color analysis cards. This an inexpensive way to help you discover your best colors for a fraction of the cost. 

Why am I bringing this up? I receive dozens of email requests daily with photos, asking me to "just give a quick look" so that they know what color type they are. I know this seems harmless, but I can't do this. Please understand that it would not be fair to the customers that have paid the fee to have their colors professionally done. It also takes way more time and thought than you may think to open photos and study them. I take what we do very seriously, and we do not offer "Free" color analysis or quick glances at photos. A rushed guess isn't fair to you either.

I just had an extremely unpleasant exchange with a very nice woman. She was excited about the style club and the products. But when I told her "no" to giving her a free color analysis, the words got harsh and mean. I'm not looking for sympathy... I'm sharing this because I want you to understand the reasoning behind some of the decisions we make on the customer support side. 

I would LOVE to give everyone free color analyses. Seriously. It would be a blast. But I wouldn't have a business and people would lose their jobs. 

If you have any suggestions for me, I'm happy to hear it. Maybe you have an idea of how to handle some of these things that I haven't thought of yet?
