Hello and Happy Sunday!
The other day, I received an email from a woman asking me for advice on how to tone down her look. She described herself as flamboyant with red hair and bright eyes. She loves wearing bright colors. Her concern was that her bold personality and look was putting people off.
I read this and said out loud, "No no no no no no...".
Why?
You are who you are and you should embrace it. Your uniqueness, as different as it might be, is a gift to this world and to your friends. If your outgoing personality and appearance "puts a person off" then that is their problem. It is a reflection on how they see
themselves.
Maybe they wish they could be as bold as you, who knows? But their discomfort is all about them and not about you. It is not your job to make other people happy or to like you. You can't control how they feel or think. No matter what you do.
PLEASE, do not tone down your look or your personality. Instead, let yourself SHINE and invite others to do the same. Embrace your true
colors. Be amazingly YOU. Share how your colors improve your life and share Your Color Style with them. You are not the one that needs to change... but maybe your friends could use a little support in embracing their true colors.
