Happy Sunday!
I hope you are doing well this morning (or evening for the other side of the globe). I've been sick with some kind of flu-like thing turned sinus infection for 10 days. Count 'em. I am FINALLY feeling more like myself today. Sheesh. And yes, I had the flu shot. Ha.
I took my daughter, Mindy, to the mall yesterday for her birthday shopping spree. This is the third year we've done this. It's a "yes" day for her. We SHOP. We eat. We laugh. It's fun. She spends my money and I get my 17 year old's undivided attention for a few hours.
While we were shopping, my color brain was working overtime. I'm see the trending colors of fall/winter everywhere AND some of the spring colors popping in. If you're not subscribed to the Monthly Color Report yet, you may want to. Because... next month I'm going to report on this bright yellow I keep seeing... it's called
Limelight. I also saw Russet Orange! These are tough colors to wear. Not for everyone. So, I'm tackling those for February's report. THEN March will have the 2019 Spring/Summer trending colors report PLUS the Spring/Summer neutrals report. It's good to be a subscriber :-)
One more thing... I receive letters from you all the time. Some are quick and upbeat thank you notes and success stories. And some break my heart. You share with me your life pain and your struggles. I love you for trusting me with your stories. I know I can't do anything or say anything to ease your pain, but you are always welcome to share. I will "listen". A few of you share with me intense frustration about your colors. I see you. You're in a phase of your life where you are ready to
figure YOU out. What colors really work? Which don't anymore? What clothes need to go. What IS your style right now? And you want an answer right now! I get it. I really do. PLEASE be patient with yourself and with the process. I can tell you your color type, but know that it's a process to learn what colors truly resonate with you. Which ones you now know don't do anything for you. As you edit your wardrobe, your tastes will change. And they will change again. Because your confidence level
increases. Choices you would never make a year ago, seem easier now. There's no simple answer to this personal challenge. You're here because you are seeking these answers. I'm here to help and guide you. So, please be gentle and kind to yourself. Try not to get frustrated if your colors don't come to you immediately. It won't ever be perfect. What's important is that you find the colors that you love and love you. It could be 2 colors or 10. If you're really struggling... start with one. There
are many many resources on the blog to help you. If you need me to point you to one of our products or services that best suits you, reply to this email and tell me what's going on. I want to help.
