[Your Color Style] Case Study, Your Feedback, Outfit Ideas and more...
Published: Sun, 06/30/19
Happy Sunday!
This past week, I sent out an email asking you to give me candid feedback via a 2-minute survey. If you missed it and want to take the survey, go here. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me. Some of it was tough to hear, but I love that you cared enough to tell me what's working and what's not. Some things were not surprises, but other things were. As a business
owner, it's easy to have blind spots. Where you think something isn't a big deal, you learn that it is impacting your customers in ways you didn't expect.
I'd like to address some key areas that many of you shared. I'll put that further down in the newsletter, if you're interested in my thoughts.
This week was another slower week. I have included a case study in this week's newsletter because I know how much fun these are. Yay!
Color Analysis Case Study: Dark Hair, Warm Hazel Eyes
I share a color analysis case study on one of my clients who has dark hair and warm hazel eyes. I reveal her signature colors – blushing, eye-poppin’ and grounding neutrals. Plus I shares my thoughts on her color type and 6 great looking colors.

There were some common themes that came out of the survey. I would like to address some of these right away.
You Want To Learn How To Pull It All Together
This was the most common request out of all the comments. You love the case studies and the Facebook group. You love learning about your color type and other's color types. But what's missing is practical ways to pull stylish outfits together in your colors. Wow. Yes! You're right. You ladies literally hit me over the head with this. I hear you.
Here's what I'm doing about it:
First, there IS a lot of outfit ideas and inspiration in the Style Guides. I'm not sure if you knew that or not. I created a page for you to find it more easily here: Outfit Ideas in YOUR Colors. I will also be adding links to all of the blog posts that share outfit ideas.
Second, I will be adding in depth videos in the ColorStyle Membership to teach you how to wear your colors. These videos will not be slide shows, but ME with a clothes rack of items, showing you who should wear what and why. I am so excited about this, I've already started shopping for items for the
videos.
Third, the monthly trending color guides provided in the ColorStyle Membership also give you outfit ideas and inspiration.
Fourth, there will be more content on the blog with ideas and how-to's.
Too Many Changes
You're right. There have been a TON of changes over the past year, which has caused confusion and uncertainty. We had gotten to a point where our hosting servers and technology were not supporting the rapid growth of the business. The site was getting hacked, security was low, the site was slow, the servers kept crashing and we had 3 different sites with different logins. It was a mess. So, we had to take the leap and move everything to different servers. We moved color-fans.com into the
main site giving you ONE login. I know it seemed like everything kept moving around, but there was a method to the madness. We are stable now. No more large changes. This will be our site for a long time. I think security is a little too tight because it's easy to get locked out. Joe's working on that. Thank you for hanging in there with us.
The Color Fans
I'm going to back to the drawing board for the color fans. Those of you that have the color fans seem to love them, but they aren't as durable as we all had hoped. This part is tricky. Many of you want fabric instead of paper. That's even trickier. Plus, it looks like there are too many colors in the fan and you'd rather have a way to reduce the colors to what you really like and remove the ones that don't work for you. You also want an easier way to shop. I will take all of this into
account when designing a new generation of fans. Durable, Customizable, Small, Easy to shop with
I truly appreciate you. I absolutely love this business and I love helping you. I take all of your feedback to heart. I can't make everyone happy, but I know that there is plenty of room and opportunity for improvement. THANK YOU
*HUGS*

HOW you wear a signature set of colors that LOVE you
as much as you love them.
A few years ago, I found myself divorced, grieving over losing my oldest daughter and truly lost. I had forgotten what it was like to have true joy in my life. Did I ever really know? I didn't know who I was or what truly made me happy.
As I went through the process of learning about myself, I founded Your Color Style. Identifying the colors that make you feel amazing is a simple step you can take to build your confidence. Color transformed my life. It is now my mission to help you get through whatever transition is going on in your life through color.
Rediscover:
Who you are
What truly brings you joy
Who you really want to be and to own it
How to stop being a certain way for someone else
Be more of your kick ass self that you already are
Where do you start?
LEARN What Colors Flatter You (aka Your Color Style Type)
I am a HUGE believer that the more you know about color, the more you know the colors that flatter you best. LEARNING is key to understanding what colors really work for you.
Once you know your color type, you'll want your complete color palette in your hand so that you can start to edit your wardrobe and shop with confidence.
