Happy Sunday
It is Sunday right? I realized last week that I sent out an email on Friday but thought it was Saturday. Ha!
I've spent this week lining up some amazing interviews for you. This week I will be interviewing a woman on transitioning to grey, another on Color Therapy and another on Classic Style. I can't wait to share these recordings with you! I'm also being interviewed for a midlife summit, another virtual summit that I'll learn more about on Monday and I'll be a guest on Christine Byer's YouTube channel soon. So exciting!
I've also been spending a lot of time drawing and painting. It reminds me of being a kid. When I was little... as young as 5... I would spend my time drawing. I remember watching cartoons and drawing what I saw on TV. Any spare time I had was spent drawing. I remember loving colored pencils. I went to a 4 year art school. Loved everything about that time. I had permission to be creative and explore. Live can really make you forget important pieces of our self. The pandemic has been, in a
strange way, the best thing to happen to me personally. I have been drawing and painting and playing with my art supplies. Not gonna lie... I have impulse shopped a LOT of new art supplies. The creative process just makes me happy. :-)
You know... I watched the movie "Brittany Runs a Marathon" which was cute. It made me think about how we choose to spend our time while we're home. How will we be better... different... once the pandemic is over? This is a time when we should be setting goals for ourselves. Who do you really want to become? Can you use this time to get there?

Color Analysis Q&A: Olive Skin? Bright, Soft, Warm or Cool?
Jen answers the question:
Hi dear Jen,
I’m writing you from Mexico! I’ve been following you since more than 2 years. I was member of your color style club, it was a shame that you closed it :(. Anyway, I’m thankful that this possibility is available to finally know if I am cool or warm, bright or soft. I’ve been struggling finding this out because I think I am olive and I
have brown hair, but I think I am not deep enough to wear bright colors! Well, I would prefer that you the expert judge that based on my photos, thanks a million!!! *in the first photo you can see my natural hair color in the re growth.
Color Wheel vs Color Wheel Guide – Bright Cool Medium
Jen answers the question:
Hi Jen,
I have a few questions. First, how are the Color Wheel Guide and the Color Wheel different besides that one is digital? I’m trying to decide which one to buy and one is obviously cheaper than the other one. Can you tell me why? Secondly and most importantly, I noticed that the Color Wheel uses all colors, warm and cool. I am a bright
cool but it looks like the color wheel is showing that I should wear warm colors too. Is that correct? Can I wear warm accent colors that aren’t on my bright, cool, and medium color fan? Okay. One more question. The true color green is a universal color as you have mentioned before. I’m curious as to why it isn’t on the bright, cool, and medium color fan if it is a universal color?
Saffron Yellow is one of the trending colors this spring/summer 2020 and I LOVE it! I don't actually own anything in this color... yet. But I have my eye on a pair of shoes in this bold color. It's just so fun and makes me happy just looking at it. I've styled this color three different ways to inspire you this week.

Our mission is to help you express your true authentic self though color and creativity.
A few years ago, I found myself divorced, grieving over losing my oldest daughter and truly lost. I had forgotten what it was like to have true joy in my life. Did I ever really know? I didn't know who I was or what truly made me happy.
As I went through the process of learning about myself, I founded Your Color Style. Identifying the colors that make you feel amazing is a simple step you can take to build your confidence. Color transformed my life. It is now my mission to help you get through whatever transition is going on in your life through color... so that you can feel more like you again.
