[Your Color Style] 🙌How To Look and Feel Put Together, 3 Ways To Wear and more...
Published: Sun, 04/26/20
Happy Sunday,
Â
It's been a super busy week of interviews. Me interviewing some pretty amazing people and being interviewed. You'll find the link to my interview with April Grow below. This was such a fun chat and there is some really powerful takeaways. So, please enjoy.
Â
On a personal note, I've started running again. If you've been with me for a while, you may know that I ran my first half marathon a few years ago. I ran a second one a couple years ago and injured myself sometime between that brutal hilly race and Christmas. I ended up having hip surgery a year ago. It really sucked. This past December, I started kickboxing classes with Joe. We love it. I still love it. But with all this stay at home stuff... I started to yearn for that feeling... that
feeling of planning the long run, putting my music on and just getting out there. So, last Sunday, I went easy. Fridays are my long run days and I went 3 miles. The longest in a very long time for me. Yay me! I've got a schedule that's working for me. I feel strong. It feels so good to run again. I've been pushing that part of me down for so long... and now... I'm doing it! But slowly, easily and listening to my body. I do not want another injury.Â
Â
Thanks for listening. :-)
Â
I also have a new course in the works. I think this is going to be super fun. It's all about creating color palettes for your capsule wardrobes using your colors. I think you're going to love it. It's very hands on and creative. Fun and EASY. I can't wait to share it with you!

How To Look and Feel Put Together Everyday with April Grow
Â
At Your Color Style, we are all about authenticity. This company was started in response to reconnecting with what truly makes me happy. I’ve learned that color and creativity are core to my soul. I had a wonderful chat with April Grow from StunningStyle.com where she shares her story on how there was a time in her life where she lost her self. She didn’t feel like herself anymore. April is so open about her experiences and I think you will enjoy hearing how she overcame this low part of
her life.
Biscay Green is a fresh green blue. It’s a universal color and can be worn by anyone with warm or cool undertones. I think this color looks good on everyone.
Join the creative color challenge brought to you by Your Color Style with your host Jen Thoden. Each day a new creative challenge prompt will be posted. They will center around a color. The challenges will range from writing, drawing, taking pics, clothes, etc. It's fun and it's a great way to make connections and to do something creative YOUR way.
Our mission is to help you express your true authentic self though color and creativity.
Â
A few years ago, I found myself divorced, grieving over losing my oldest daughter and truly lost. I had forgotten what it was like to have true joy in my life. Did I ever really know? I didn't know who I was or what truly made me happy.Â
Â
As I went through the process of learning about myself, I founded Your Color Style. Identifying the colors that make you feel amazing is a simple step you can take to build your confidence. Color transformed my life. It is now my mission to help you get through whatever transition is going on in your life through color... so that you can feel more like you again.
