Happy Monday!
I know, I know. I missed sending you this newsletter on Sunday. This might be the first time this year that I missed my own deadline. So, if you were anxiously awaiting my email, I apologize for the delay.
I spent the week at the beach in the Outer Banks, NC with Joe and the three kids. It was really good to have a change of scenery and to be at the beach. I posted photos and art journal pages on my instagram feed, if you're interested.
The first 3 days of our trip was all rain. Cold and windy. My intention for this trip was to have fun and relax. I imagined blue skies, swimming in the ocean and calm breezes. Not thunder storms that shake the house. However, I had gone into this trip with the mindset of having fun and relaxing. And that's exactly what I did. It rained a lot... so we played board games, shopped for much needed sweatshirts... ate fresh seafood... I did some art journaling... sipped wine... listened to the
rain and storms. We laughed a LOT and no one complained. Not even the kids. The kids are 20, 18 and 17, by the way.
On Thursday, it was warmer with some sun. The ocean was 68 degrees. Cold. Mindy and Jack really wanted to swim... and I was like "Oh, hells no! It's freezing." I was just going to prop my chair up and watch them dive in the waves. But then I thought... I'm here. Right now. I love swimming in the ocean. So what if it's cold. EMBRACE BEING UNCOMFORTABLE because that's where the good stuff is hidden.
So, I just ran and dove straight into a wave. Jack and Mindy followed. It was COLD. And then... it was FUN. Totally worth it.
What does all of this have to do with Your Color Style? It takes courage to do what you really want. To be authentically you. Just you. Amazingly you. There will always be a voice that tells you that it's not the right time to do something. It's too cold. You're too old or too young. You're not bold enough. You don't have enough experience. The excuses may seem reasonable but they're just words that you've put meaning into. Ask yourself... all the time... what do you REALLY want... I mean
really really want?
Play with it. Write it down. Dream on it. Set daily intentions that the actions you take each day will move you closer to what you really want. I want a happy, healthy, and abundant life full of fun, love and creativity. I focus on that when it's raining sideways at the beach. :-)
And now... please enjoy the rest of this newsletter below....

Your Color Style Journey
Our mission is to help you express your true authentic self though color and creativity.
A few years ago, I found myself divorced, grieving over losing my oldest daughter and truly lost. I had forgotten what it was like to have true joy in my life. Did I ever really know? I didn't know who I was or what truly made me happy.
As I went through the process of learning about myself, I founded Your Color Style. Identifying the colors that make you feel amazing is a simple step you can take to build your confidence. Color transformed my life. It is now my mission to help you get through whatever transition is going on in your life through color... so that you can feel more like you again.
