It's really feeling like Autumn here in Virginia! Love it. I hope you're having an amazing start to the new season, the new month and the last quarter of the year.
Last night, Mindy (my 18 year old daughter) and I went to an event called Night Lights. Once the sun goes down, hundreds of people float lanterns into the sky. It was absolutely magical. I posted a video of it on my Instagram feed, if you want to see.
One of the things I'm incorporating more of into my daily life is play. Each day looking for an opportunity to play. Yesterday, Mindy decided to decorate the house for Halloween, which I usually don't do. But she made it so fun, I decided... OK, I'll play along. And, I'm so glad I did. Other days, I spend some time in my art journal just playing with watercolor, paint and doodling. Whatever feels right. Sometimes for just a couple minutes and sometimes for a couple hours. The idea of adding play into your day allows your true self to shine. It's getting back to your essence and discovering or remembering what you truly love to do.
