(Just for fun) The drawing above is one of my character illustrations on my personal Instagram feed. I've committed to 100 days of character illustrations. Why? Because creating art lights me up. I believe doing something focused for 100 days creates change. To create something 100 times, you are forced to try new things. Different
methods. You develop muscle memory. You pull back layers to discover your unique voice. This is true for anything you wish to have a voice in. What do I mean when I say "find your voice?" It means to truly connect with your self. To honor what lights you up. To have the courage to share your talents with others. To say, I created this. I did this. I DO this. This is me. And I'm going to keep on doing ME.
Creating delightful illustrations is so ME. I love creating images that evoke an emotion through expressions and fantasy. So, I'm on Day 16 of my 100 day challenge. What might you commit to doing for 100 days? What is something you've been wanting to do, grow in, learn? Maybe it's starting a business, cooking, baking, writing, organizing, photography, collage, wearing a different color everyday,
posting in the FB group daily, doodling, saying I love you, hugging your partner, gratitude, journaling, or drawing. This list goes on and on. I hope I've got your wheels spinning!
For you, for Your Color Style, I've also committed to 100 days of FB lives. So, you'll be seeing me pop on the Your Color Style Facebook page and group every day for a
few minutes to answer questions, talk about a topic or just to share something going on in my life or the business. I'm telling you this because when it's written and stated out loud, I hold myself accountable.
One last thing on this... because it's something I'm passionate about and I believe is life changing if you choose to embrace it. You are what you DO. Actions are more powerful than thoughts. If you desire to pull outfits together that are so you and express your personal style... then you have to do it. Experiment. Try different colors and color combinations. Wear that graphic tee that speaks to
you but you've been too shy to wear. Wear those two patterns together and see how it feels. Buy those funky sneakers that you've been admiring and then wear them. This is YOU. Your style. The only thing holding you back from discovering your personal style is you. It's all about playing with ideas and trying new things.
So, pick out an outfit that reflects something you've admired in a magazine or in one of my color guides... share it with the Facebook Group and say "I wear outfits that express my personal style." Done. You are what you do. Start now. Learning is great. Doing what you learn is what creates change.
Update on my son's surgery: Last week, my son had a benign tumor removed from his right ear. We thought that he would have his hearing loss restored once it was removed. Unfortunately, the tumor did extensive damage to his middle ear and he will not have his hearing restored. He has about a 50% loss, if not more in that ear. We have to wait for healing before we can explore reconstructive surgery. Outside of his disappointment, Matt is
doing well.
And now... please enjoy the newsletter...

Each month, I respond to a color analysis question and photo submitted to me through my Ask Jen page. Her question is as follows…
I think I’m a toned summer, but not sure if my undertone is a little warmer since I absolutely cannot wear pink based foundation AT ALL. My hair is rapidly greying and I’m not dying it so I have more grey now than in this picture.

We help women discover their BEST colors so that they have the confidence and courage to express their authenticity by wearing the colors they LOVE.
A few years ago, I found myself divorced, grieving over losing my oldest daughter and truly lost. I had forgotten what it was like to have true joy in my life. Did I ever really know? I didn't know who I was or what truly made me happy.
As I went through the process of learning about myself, I founded Your Color Style. Identifying the colors that make you feel amazing is a simple step you can take to build your confidence. Color transformed my life. It is now my mission to help you get through whatever transition is going on in your life through color... so that you can feel more like you again.
