Last Saturday, Joe and I decided to get out of the house and tour a couple Virginia wineries. The wine here isn't always great but the wineries have amazing views and always seem to be a lot of fun. We spent some time getting dressed for the day. We both like to look nice for each other and we get a bit carried away with the mood of our outfits. I wanted my outfit to say "I'm
casual and stylish. Pulled together but not over the top."
At first I had on a pair of skinny jeans to wear with knee-high boots... because you have to wear boots when you go to wineries... duh. And a bright coral top. I was really uncomfortable in the jeans, but I was going to wear them because I thought that's what I SHOULD wear.
Joe says to me "If you're not comfortable, then it's
not attractive. Wear something you're comfortable in."
Yes! Of course. So, I swapped the jeans for some cute stretchy black jean/leggings and dark brown boots with black accents. Threw on some gold jewelry. He agreed... mission accomplished.
People who didn't even know me, complemented me on my outfit and the combinations of colors. I didn't stand out... I just felt pulled together...
which had me chatting with people next to me at the tasting bar. It felt good.
Wear what you feel good in, not what you think you should be wearing.
The professional certification program to become an online color analyst and possibly earn a spot on my team starts this
week. It was postponed from last week because I needed to finish a few recordings.
Check it out here.
Also, check out
the Rapid Fire Thursdays where I do 10 online color analyses live. This was a huge success this past week. I'm going to be doing these every Thursday... it's a great way to learn your color type fast... and at a HUGE discount. You can register for this Thursday here.
One more thing. I met with the printer this week and finally was able to see a proof of the color kits. I'll post a photo below for you to see. The color kits will
include color tiles for each of your colors, your bright or soft color wheel, and a grid of your warm/cool neutrals. We're almost ready... I can finally see the finish line. No official date, but looks like another 2 weeks. As soon as I have a date, I will send a link for pre-orders.
Thanks for listening and enjoy the newsletter!
*hugs*

PS. The newsletter is light this week. I was distracted with the color kits, the latest style guide, the professional program and a new module in the Signature program. Lots going on. :-)
