[Your Color Style] This season's trending colors...

Published: Sun, 08/27/17

I am so inspired!

A few days ago, I had sent you an email describing the new Pantone color books that I will be releasing in September.

Twice a year, Pantone releases their top 10 colors of the season. This is what fashion designers use when designing their line of clothing. This means that you will see these colors everywhere in stores.

Below are the 10 colors you will see in stores this Fall and Winter.

Yesterday, Joe and I went to the store to order our wedding bands. Soooo happy. :-)

And, of course, we did a little shopping. Joe is so much fun to shop with. He has an excellent eye.

Sure enough, as we're browsing some of the new arrivals, the new Pantone colors are everywhere. Golden lime tops, Pants in all of the above.

Joe spied a pair of pants in the ballet slipper. He said "Wow, that's a great look, but what would you wear it with?"

Ballet slipper is this pale cool pink that a person with warm undertones can't wear as a top. You'll definitely want to have cool undertones to wear Ballet slipper well. But anyone can wear it as a bottom.

But still... what colors, besides grey or black, go with Ballet Slipper?

I was like "Oh! So, I just finished the color combos for this color for the Bright and Warm! Let me show you!"

So, we spent the next hour grabbing other colors I had in mind and pairing them with Ballet Slipper.

It was cute because Joe was like "Oh no, not that color. Oh! Wow! I never thought of that combo. Hmmm, that would work with a little grey added."  Etc.

It was a blast and so inspiring. We walked away with BETTER ideas than I had originally and I can NOT wait to get these color books into your hands.

I'm getting an initial quote from the printer this week, and I hope to get the proofs by first week of September. As soon as I know the official print date, I will open up for pre-orders.

These will be a limited run. Once they're gone, they're gone.

As for this week's newsletter...

as you may or may not know, I was on a cruise with Joe and the kids in Italy, France and Spain and was out of the office for 10 days.

I'm a little behind on things. My team has been phenomenal in picking up the slack. I couldn't have enjoyed my vacation without them.

A few things you will see this week... 2 ColorStyleMe videos. 7 online color analysis case studies in each. Signature program, I will be setting up a webinar for us the first week of September.

If you didn't see this week's email with content, I've put a repeat below. Enjoy!

10 #ColorStyleMe - 7 Online Color Analysis Studies
A taste of a professional online color analysis to 7 photos submitted to me by active Style Club Members. I share my thoughts on each individual explaining why I feel a person is a certain color type.

I receive a lot of photos. Each video has 7 case studies. There is a queue to be included in each video. It may be 2 to 3 weeks before you see your face in the video. Please know that I want to help everyone and your photo WILL be included in the next available video. If you want to know your colors sooner, then please consider signing up for a Professional Color Analysis

Not Sure of Your Color Type?
Figuring out your color type can be confusing. Especially when you get mixed messages. I believe that everyone has a pretty good idea of what looks good on them and what they like ot wear (which is important). Sometimes, you just need confirmation on what your gut is already telling you.

I'm going to try something new...

When you place an order for a color fan... if you need to know if you're ordering the right one, forward your receipt along with your photo to support@yourcolorstyle.com and I or Patricia will offer you our professional opinion. This is not a complete color study, but we are happy to help make sure you're ordering the right color fan.

Please make sure you take your photo outside in natural light. Avoid direct bright sunlight and shadows on your face. One straight on head shot is enough. A closeup of your eye would help too.

"But what if I don't want to order a color fan, yet?"

You have 2 other options designed to help you.

1. Active Style Club Members can submit their photo to me for the weekly #ColorStyleMe videos. There is a bit of a queue, as I can only do 7 at a time. But I do my best to give you guidance on your color type based on the photo you submit. This is not a complete color study but it may be all you need.

2. Sign up for a Professional Online Color Analysis. This is the best way to receive an accurate and thorough color analysis.

Getting Unplugged
This past week was some seriously needed downtime.

If you've been with me any length of time, then you know that I never stop working. I'm always writing, creating videos, creating content, outlining new ideas, new courses, new style guides, new color fan concepts... on and on...

It doesn't feel like work. I LOVE my business. I love helping you. It's my passion.

But it's amazing when you are forced to be unplugged. I was on a cruise ship in Europe for 7 days. There is no service out in the middle of the ocean. So, it doesn't matter if you have WIFI because your email goes no where... and you don't receive email.

And even when I DID have service, it was slow and spotty. Emails I wanted to get to my team took 3 days.

There was something freeing about being disconnected.

It forces you to be present. There's no iPhone messages, email alerts, Facebook notifications. Nothing. The only thing to do is to relax. Have fun. Drink. Eat. Dance. Enjoy life.

Which is exactly what I did.

I'm back. Recharged. Lots of amazing things coming your way in the next couple of months!

Try getting unplugged for a day. For an afternoon. Turn your phone off. Close the laptops. Turn off your digital devices. Get outside. Breathe.

*Hugs*
