Ten years ago, my family and I all went to Disney World in memory of my daughter Kelley. She had passed away in March of that year from cancer. She was 9. The entire family met in Disney World. Her Grandparents, 2 Uncles, 3 Aunts, 4 cousins and the 4 of us. Matt was 7 and Mindy was 5.
We had t-shirts made with Kelley's face on the upper left front of the shirt and on the back was "In Memory of Kelley" and a list of all of our names on this trip. The girls wore pink and the boys wore blue.
Our first park was Animal Kingdom. Our first ride was Tilt-a-whirl. Which, by the way, is a horrible ride! Made me so sick. Just sayin'.
Anyway, as we were all standing in line for this ride from hell, this Disney Park employee approached us, noted that we were all a large group for a very special occasion and handed us special passes for the day. These passes allowed us to skip the lines for any attraction in the park that day.
It was amazing. It made the day extra special. Disney is excellent at this.
