Yesterday, I finally got into the Fall spirit. The weather was cooler and Mindy
and I went to our favorite Fall market. This place is so great. Pumpkins and flowers everywhere. I walked away with 6 plants... that now adorn my patio. So pretty! And here's Mindy hugging a pumpkin.
Next, was Homecoming for Mindy. She's 15 and a sophomore this year.
Below is Mindy posing proudly in her dress.
I thought I'd combine this with a style lesson. Here it goes...
Mindy is an apple shape. Large chest
(not from me) and no waist. I styled her in a fit and flare dress. This style dress holds in her chest gives her a waist and drapes nicely over her stomach and hips. Very slimming. ** Under there is a very well-fitted bra. I don't mess around. This is critical for any large breasted woman.**
I paired it with chunky heels to keep her balanced. Thin heels would make her look top heavy.
All of her friends decided to wear black dresses. Mindy is "soft" and a solid black dress is kinda blah. So, I found this lacy dress that has a nude lining... softening the black and creating an all over pattern. Perfect. If I do say so myself. :-)
This past Tuesday, I went shopping with Joe and all we saw were the 10 Pantone colors I keep going on about. In fact, we saw Tawny Port in EVERY store and a LOT of it. I created a fun blog post showing you how to wear Tawny Port in several different ways.

Tawny Port is one of the trending colors of Fall/Winter 2017. Tawny Port is a cool, reddish, purpley brown. It is a cool deep neutral in the Your Color Style™ system. People who are cool and deep can wear this color next to their face. Otherwise wear it as a bottom or away from your face.
Last weekend, I went shopping. Walking into most of the mainstream stores, all I saw were the 10 Pantone colors for Fall/Winter 2017. If you follow this blog or my newsletter, you already know that there were going to be 10 colors that you will see everywhere in stores this season.
Sure enough… the stores were loaded with these 10 colors… and I saw a LOT of Tawny Port. I mean, every store had it on at least one mannequin. That color is EVERYWHERE!
